Country on the radio aka pop country definitely deserves to be last, that crap sucks. But if you were to listen to some real modern country like Whiskey Myers, Sturgill Simpson, Cody Johnson, Cody Jinks, Aaron Watson, and Uncle Lucius (just to name a few); I think country music would be higher in the list here.

Crazy enough the violent actions, looting, and property damage that are going on during the protest are the same thing that defeats their purpose. The population of this country that these protest are trying to get to and change the prospective of and have discussion with, are immediately turned off once the violence

If I’m not mistaken the Low/Int/High are done via a switch in newer trucks. Still the same concept though.

So does every city think their team has the most racist fans? Seems to be the go to this year.

Everything in life is a non zero risk. When we step out into the public we accept some degree of risk everyday. It’s the same sense as when I get behind the wheel of my truck and drive down the freeway. I have to assume everyone driving will obey the law and respect my presence on the road.

I’ll revert back to my previous statement about the conceal part of this law. You simply wont know if someone has a gun on them. But in case you do happen to see a gun, this is the advice direct from UT’s campus carry page:

How would you catch a murder who was concealing a gun before this law took affect?

In the terms of this new law, if you can visually see a gun in the open then they are breaking a law and action can be taken. Now there are laws protecting LTC holders from accidental showing (ex: shirt rides up while sitting and your gun is exposed) but if someone shows up Rambo style or showcasing their gun on their

If that’s the case, the display of dildo’s on campus wont do a whole lot. UT has absolutely NO say in the matter as it’s a state law. Maybe feeding off the publicity that this brought and turning that into a state wide rally to appeal the law would work (maybe that was the point all along?) but that’s going to be a

That’s the great part about this law, it’s conceal only. Meaning you wont be seeing a gun. It will be concealed under a shirt, boot, purse, pants, and any other way you can. Yes, there may be an instance when someone bends over and their shirt rides up revealing a gun in their waistband, but that would be it.

That’s the reason a lot of rural states have what’s called constitutional carry where you don’t have to have any form of LTC to open carry your gun. This has been the case for many many years well before Texas’s open carry became a law.

I’d point to this:

I’d assume it’s to protest against guns on campus even though that’s been allowed for a long time (just not in buildings which this new law allows now). I have no problems with this new law but I’m also a LTC holder myself. Like I mentioned before, after the storm blows over, it will show that having LTC holders

I guess that would depend on what side your gun views are. Ultimately the law going into effect aligns with school starting back up.

Very true. Once the “new” wears off of this whole thing, I believe we will all realize it’s not that big of an issue. Like you mentioned, there were similar outcries when open carry was passed but it has been pretty much a dud. I’ve personally yet to see an open carry in my daily life and that’s even looking for it. I

I just feel it should be noted exactly what the law is. This isn’t some free for all where every student will be packing heat. You have to be 21 to get a LTC and even 21 to buy a handgun in Texas. This law it only affecting upperclassman with LTC’s and that has to be a small number at best. Also the fact it’s conceal

This isn’t just a UT thing, this law affects every public college in Texas. A few points are the law should be noted though (direct from UT’s site):

Does this mean I don’t have to get recommended for my comment to show?

Nothing is worse then the repeating of obstacle information with EVERY contestant. For example: the I beam that you have to shimmy across with your finger tips, EVERY SINGLE TIME a person gets there they let you know it goes from 2" wide at the beginning down to 1" wide at the end. It never fails!

I figured there would be more on the fact they raced in the rain. That’s one of the biggest knocks on these boards about how NASCAR doesn’t race in the rain. After watching the race I can see why they don’t do it as often, it was a slippery mess!
