You’re good writer, Burneko, but can be pretty smug in your certitude, and because I’m an asshole, I wanted very badly to quickly read this, and try to poke a hole in your position.

I’ve followed Burgher on instagram and then Snapchat for a year or longer before her focus on gaming. She’s always been a workout fiend, takes care of herself and enjoys showing it off. Her following didn’t just get made on Twitch and YouTube. She’s been a social media starlet for a long time. People hate everyday,…
If this sort of thing bothers you, you shouldn’t be blaming her: you should be blaming the straight dudes who throw donations at her and make what she does profitable in the first place.
She pretty much said it all herself. If people are this desperate to see a woman in revealing clothing and will pay her, why the hell not. The people who tune into her because of how she dresses are the ones I feel sorry for.
As long as she’s not actually performing any sexual acts on camera, it shouldn’t really matter. The type of vernacular / vocabulary I often hear from Twitch streamers is more risqué than a woman in a bikini.
I’ll never understand why people hate titty-streamers so damn much when it’s the easiest gimmick to avoid if you don’t like it. Look at that gif, the fact that she’s in a bikini is the least distracting gimmick on the screen. I’ve seen so many people talk about how manipulative sex appeal is, but pay absolutely no…
You know the biggest thing people seem to forget is that you can decide to just not watch her. If you think her content is shit, cool story, go watch something else neither you or her are gonna be worse off cause of it. However, I actually agree with the point that DeFranco’s brings up in that when you’re looking up…
I personally don’t care if she games provocatively or not. She isn’t hurting anyone. She has the right to do what she wants, just as much of a right as you have to ignore it. People shaming or calling her names are either taking this way too seriously, or need find a new hobby (or profession).
I don’t care for it but to each their own, I’m sure she wasn’t hurting anybody.
I don’t know who summarised the books like that, but they were very wrong. It reads like good historical fiction with fantasy elements woven in. There are important relationships, but they are never depicted as they would be in harlequin.
Agreed, they redeemed themselves after S5, which aside from Hardhome (another Sapochnik gem) made me want to scream in frustration. This season...every episode was grade-A throne-gaming. Plus for the episode that won this year...I defy anyone to watch that battle and not get taken aback. It was heart stopping. The…
Also a GoT watcher, and I have to say that this season totally brought the A game. And now, I am totally ready for the surprise twist ending where Lady Mormont wins the Iron Throne!
Yeah, the FBI would consider him a cyberterrorist. In fact, the FBI are trying to get him and F Society on the show because of what they did.
The thing is that he didn’t say that. He said “His role nothing to do with terrorism,” full stop, not “His role has nothing to do with religion.” *That* would have been honest and accurate. What he said is super misleading and calls everything else he says into question.
I see your point and don’t disagree, but I’m guessing Khaled Beydoun means the stereotypical Fox “News”/Hollywood action movie depiction of terrorists as interchangeable violent towelhead Ay-rabs.
Uh except it does...
Does that guy actually watch Mr. Robot? I love the show, I’m rooting for Elliot, and I want to see Evil Corp burn to the ground, but let’s not kid ourselves: A show where main characters are anarchist hacktivists who make pirate broadcasts in disguise to make threats about potentially world-changing (and possibly even…
