Even if he hasn’t, the article says it’s filming in London. He’ll still be physically in the UK.

British men are still called Ashley!

I believe this is the point I was trying to make when the article specified that arranging a marriage with a French princess was an unpopular idea because she was Catholic, and yet arrangements to marry the Infanta seemed fine, yes?

Wouldn’t the Spanish Infanta be just as Catholic as any French princess, if not more?

It’s off Electric, their second-most-recent album. (Electric also has my favorite ‘recent’ PSB song, Love is a Bourgeois Construct.)

Won’t somebody PLEASE think of the children?!?

If you haven’t checked out their most recent work, you’re really missing out on some great songs. There are real gems on each of the last 4.

The Pet Shop Boys are still very good, and I would like to continue to see how they interpret the genre they helped codify into the future.

An acquaintance of mine died several years ago, and his widow has kept his FB page to show very occasional pictures of his daughter. I didn’t know them well, but I’d imagine it’s nice for people who knew him a bit better.

I...always liked the jarred version. But we never had a family that actually made it fresh, there was too much else to make.

Like any other kind of food, especially peasant food, it can be done very well or very poorly. If you have a good cook doing it - my maternal grandmother was one - it’s great. If you have a poor cook doing it - my paternal grandmother - it is terrible. There’s not a lot of room for error.

I was hoping that they would take out the weird tonal shifts of the first one and focus on the stylized hyper-Bond spy pastiche nonsense here, since that’s what people seemed to be responding to, so I have to admit that I’m a little disappointed that they haven’t. Or at least not done it well.

I’m a little disappointed that it’s poorly executed, because stylized cowboy American stereotype spies sounds entertaining.

Look, if they didn’t kill off the one other guy with charisma in 5, the franchise wouldn’t be in this situation. #JusticeForHan

He looked good shirtless in 2.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I know Day of Reckoning tends to be the favorite, and it’s as gloriously surreal and disturbing as everyone says, but something about Regeneration’s air of melancholy really gets to me. It’s got fantastic action but it’s sad in a way that you don’t often see. van Damme is

I would love to see Hyams given more work (why can’t he do one of those Star Wars?), and I’m glad to see Maniac Cop actually moving forward.

We’re (not) mutants on the moon, we carry a harpoon...

It was a great little event with a lot of cool Dutch/European brewers. I’ve got a few more to look out for, especially local sours. (If you ever see anything by Nevel Artisan Ales out of Nijmegen where you are, pick it up.) My brother really liked a lot of the NEIPAs they had too, but I really dislike IPAs so I stuck

Yeah, it’s only with the new trendiness of it that I realized Berliner Weisse was an actual style beyond the syrup.
