I sadly wholeheartedly agree. I hope against hope that the full game proves me wrong, but it’s also way too late in the development process to fundamentally alter anything. On the whole, there was simply nothing engaging about that walkthrough.

The environments and enemies were stormtroopers (with super recycled

Definitely agree. It’s almost like the Luci-Ohs was part of some huge multimedia campaign, but everything got cancelled except for the cereal.

When they first announced Overwatch, I thought... this is gonna be HUGE—not in the sense of a “huge game,” but a “huge multimedia franchise.”

One of my favorite reads through Kotaku in a good while. Thanks, Peter!

The lack of wallrunning and double jump is a MASSIVE turnoff!

These basic practices are kinda the reason I find myself respecting The Division more and more...

It is a game riddled with flaws from the beginning and perhaps now too convoluted as a result of largely effective changes. However, Massive created a beautiful and immersive environment, and their development timeline

I think framing what he is talking about as an “issue” is a bit of a misinterpretation. This is a gaming community, and he’s attempting to explore an aspect of gaming in greater depth.

There is no issue at hand, barring the personal anecdote that is being used purely as... well, a personal anecdote. It’s an idea. It’s

It’s definitely not perfect. But, I must say I kinda like that the required adaptability seems to fit the spirit of the game.

Flashback to Doomguards!

I just moved out to the country, and there is no “gaming-friendly” internet. So, while I would like to return to Overwatch, I will likely fire up a lonely wanderer of sorts...
