Part of this is that they are refusing to talk over the dialogue in this season. They didn't used to care.

I suspected this immediately. It all felt wrong. The new writers really didn't understand the characters.

You didn't like it because it was a horrible episode. The tone is completely wrong because it's a parody of ski movies that, I'm guessing, a new writer had wanted to do since long before getting a job with this show. The cast spends the episode out of character because they're hammered into roles not originally…
