The older dolls had a heavy string threaded through their neck hole, so it was possible to take off the head (to wash/set the hair, to replace a damaged head, or switch out the eyes) and easily knot it back down. The doll’s clothes hid the rather bulky but super functional string.

i will not post the one where i look “nuts” but here’s this one:

It’s bizarre. It’s not as if this series has a ton of fans who are waiting for its conclusion. I don’t see anyone here who even seems interested in watching this proposed TV project. It seems like people just think she should participate just to prove she’s no better than anyone be else, but I don’t think we’d ask

Orange is the new alt-white.

The alluring Playboy Bunny hostesses, waitresses and cocktail servers have a worldwide, well-deserved reputation for their style and graciousness.

Considering these comments were made at a red carpet event for an HBO miniseries that she stars in, I think it’s more a matter of quotes being used out of context than her knocking TV altogether.

I don’t think it’s like that. She started on TV and has the HBO miniseries premiering soon.

Nothing wrong with TV, but there are logistical aspects that have to be considered. She is likely in negotiations for other feature films that can’t be scheduled around a longer-term TV shooting schedule. I’m sure money is also a factor.

I think her objection is more related to the work schedule/time commitment of a TV show versus a one-and-done movie filming. She seems like a good person to me, based on the very little I have read about her involvement with environmental causes and solidarity with Standing Rock.

Why is this article trying to imply she’s a bitch for turning them down? I wouldn’t want to make a long term commitment when I signed on for a much shorter one either.

If the move to TV gave her some contractual out to jump off that steaming pile of a franchise, more power to her, I cannot blame her for taking it. I only made it through 20 minutes of the second movie and that was on a plane. I opted to listen to engine noise and the guy next to me coughing instead.

By putting her back on the air all they are doing is validating alternative facts. They should blacklist her if she lacks credibility. I believe the colloquialism is, “Don’t feed the troll.”

Well duh. The only people IRL that I know who liked La La Land are the wannabe namaste yoga girls who sell advertising for a living. I love musicals, love Emma Stone, love Ryan Gosling, and I thought it was so boring.

How about this:

Also, it was really nice of the Women’s March to leave her off the list of influential women they were marching for.

Can we not with the ‘robotic’ thing? It’s tired and it’s lazy. It’s always been tired and lazy, but now that we’re out of a year and a half of campaigning with the worst possible result, it just seems especially sad and disappointing to read from Jez.

No matter what she does, people move the bar. She’s enough. She’s not going to be everything YOU want her to be ever, but she’s poised, lovely, brilliant, and yes, bad ass, and she’s enough.

This was a welcome message for a conference, not a statement on the current administration et al.

Yeeeeah, I think we’ve got a little selective alternative memory going on here...... I also seem to recall they didn’t want her.

This speech recorded for the 2017 Makers conference also indicates she stands behind the march 100 percent.
