I’m with you. I’d add another thing that rubbed me the wrong way: his passion is for jazz, hers for old movies, but he ends up mansplaining old movies to her as well. He’s the expert on everything.

I’m from California and I was appalled. An LA without Mexicans is no LA at all. Ryan Gosling can wear the hell out of a rolled sleeve, but he CANNOT sing. A white jazz musician, really?
