Fun fact: the scientist who discovered the asteroid were fans of the show and specifically chose to name it after the character.

I came here for this (well, I was hoping for a picture of the Goa'uld himself but this will do).

I prefer Anubis, myself.

Well this is an absurd thought that just ran through my head. Is it unnecessarily cold for a next of kin to offer to help pay for a nicer car knowing it’s going to be theirs someday? I mean, it’s a bit dark, but if that’s the difference between the elders getting to enjoy a nicer car or not then why not?

The number of installs I’ve seen done by a “qualified electrician” that involved at least one hole which was clearly ‘cut’ with a hammer makes me seriously doubt how much better of a job a “qualified electrician” would do than a well-prepared DIYer.

Most reasonably competent DIYers can handle it. Every serious diy person probably already have at least one 50a 240v garage outlet for a welder. My garage has 100 amp service for welder, compressor, and plasma table that are all 240v. But I could pretty easily wire up a new one.

trust me, it’s not labor prices. it’s liability, and insurance that’s driven the market to insane costs.

Exactly. I’ve been an electrician for decades. The whole “you might have to modify the panel” is a bit dramatic, and in 99.9% of cases, simply not true. reality is that most will pull the panel cover, run a cable from the charger to panel, snap a 2 pole breaker in and land 3-4 wires. Not a job for a clueless beginner,

Just think of it as two 120 circuits at the same time. It really looks like a basic job, especially if you have a spare breaker space.

Neutral: It’ll be the electric F150, because the F150 doesn't know how not to sell en masse, and the top selling EV looking like a regular ICE vehicle will give various EV virtue signalers aneurysms.

A few teachers and administrators were probably shown something fairly innocuous and they decided it was ok for the students - actually providing a different view rather than propagandizing.  Lazy teachers and administrators failed to keep an eye on things and let it run, the way some parents used the TV to rear their

“The left is terrified that teachers are using PragerU videos in the classroom.”

His ingenuity comment isn’t about the reverse wireless charging itself, but about the fact that it's doing it with an aluminum back.

The ingenuity is that Google can do it with an aluminum back. All Samsungs are using glass backs in order to get that to work. and having spent several years of my life repairing them, they are an absolute pain to work with. They shatter if you look at them wrong.

Te iPhone 12 is a nice phone for iOS users... but the price differences add up. First you need to pay $50 more to get the 128GB version to match Pixel 5. It is also$30 more for the unlocked version (only if you buy ATT or Verizon do you get $30 off). Plus it doesn’t come with a power brick (some people have a female

It really depends on what your priorities are. I use my phone a ton for work and social media, but I never play games.

I cross-shopped the FE, OP8T, and this. The price stung a little bit for a 765, but I can’t stand One UI. I’ve had great experiences with my past two pixel phones, and for my use case, it makes sense.
