If I was on the Starlink marketing team, I would be putting in contracts with every single major airline to do exactly that. Replace gogo with Starlink wifi. Boost in-flight wifi to truly useable speeds.

When I read satellite ISP, I had a flashback of climbing on my roof in the 90s to mount a DirecPC dish. That was my first taste of faster than modem download speeds as our neighborhood was too far to get DSL at the time.

You forgot the most important item that fuels MY coffee addiction....

This is great context to know what exactly the recall is trying to address. Not exactly an airbag potentially exploding in your face.

I’m really looking forward to seeing this play out. I think it could expand pretty quickly once they start launching 400+satellites at a time in Starship, possibly starting as early as 2021. Currently, they’re only launching them 60 at a time on Falcon 9 when it’s convenient for their launch schedule. Starship is

Younger car buyers are getting priced out of the new-vehicle market

Car dealerships are basically the most useless actors in the galaxy of cars but they persist thanks to franchise laws and the powerful pull of lobbyists.”

There’s this cool video from a Formula E test which really highlights how different the drive trains can sound to each other too!

Good question. And- an opportunity for durability testing. MOAR RALLY CROSS!!

I feel like rally cross is an area where electric could really shine. Short races and a need for a lot of power and torque. With the batteries mounted low in the chassis and the ability to vector torque to the drive train even more specifically, I could enjoy that even more than I do now.
