The Q3 ZEV credit value was ~$205m. If Q4 is about the same it means as an automaker, they once again lost (a small amount of) money. As ZEV Broker, they were profitable.

I will be replacing my aging 981 with a low mileage ‘16 981. There’s no way I’d pay more to lose the flat 6 for a turbo 4. They took out the most special thing about the Cayman/Boxster.

Also worth considering that they’re true two-seaters.

Very happy to see the 718 sales numbers. Nobody wants a 4-banger Porsche. Difference from the 924/944/968 or the 914 era is the 718s are a step backwards from last gen. We're not here for fuel economy or emissions. Let the SUVs carry that burden. 

Yeah. It feels like they’ve hobbled the better sportscar by only giving it the turbo 4 to keep it “in its place” or whatever. Laaaaaaame. :(

I am gonna point the 718's sales on the fact its sounds like poo. I would buy a last gen NA 6 or a 911. No way do I want a turbo 4 Cayman.
