He’s on probation now...

If the attendant is nowhere to be found after the tank has been filled, just get out and finish up the job yourself. I’ve NEVER had an attendant get cranky about this.

In a perfect world, I’ll have enough discretionary funds to spend around $150K. But, if I’m being more realistic, I think $75K is what I’d max out at. The dream is to buy an at-the-time current generation GT3. The reality is buying an at-the-time current generation M3/4.

DAT (GL)ASS!

I know I’m jinxing myself here but I’ve never really had a problem with LGA. There’s no denying that it’s old and, to put it lightly, dilapidated; I won’t say otherwise, it needs an update. BIG TIME. This is very welcomed news.

When I took that exact car up to The Glen last year... man, what a f%cking blast. I had been piloting my Z4MC on track for years but working that around corners is just special. So easy to drive fast. So. Much. Fun. I can’t wait to drive it again as GJ @ CCC says he did a lot of work on it in the offseason.

His mother(-in-law) was in the passenger seat.

That is one brave instructor right there! Good work, Mr. Ballaban. Love it. Did you get a second day? That’s when things actually start to make sense.

Talk about reading comprehension fail.

Amen.

I like the 650S front end from a distance; but then you get closer and realize the lower center piece is a solid part. Yeah, it’s beautifully crafted carbon fiber with shapes that are certainly tested in the wind-tunnel... but something about it being an unbroken piece makes it look plasticky and body-kit-esque.

I wouldn’t focus on your hand placement or the overly hot entry or late braking. It happens all the time. Instead, analyze how you reacted. No one is always at the perfect speed at the perfect position upon entry, intentionally (e.g. executing a pass) or not (e.g. distracted).

True story. I once parked in midtown on a Sunday to tackle some quick tasks in the office. I read the signs and paid the meter. I came back down 2 minutes after the meter had (allegedly/clearly) expired and couldn't believe it was towed.

I loved driving the SLS for a day a few months ago (except maybe the somewhat lethargic gearbox software) but the moment I opened those gullwing doors I felt like a complete douche-nozzle. Very cool in pictures and excellent as an homage but awfully showy in practice (which isn't my cup o' tea).

If your >400HP car has traction control, it should never be disengaged on the street.

This.

Roger that. Happy to have bought the VIP ticket in support of the event!

Fair enough. Any plan to authorize CCC to invite members?

Done.

Unless one requires a manual gearbox to enjoy their drives, the 991 GT3 is the only logical purchase at the $135K - $150K price range. At the revised sub-$100K price point, the choice becomes a matter of personal preference/taste.
