FWIW, “G-Body” refers to any 911 built between 74 and 89. This covers a pretty wide variety of cars from the 2.7 middies through 911SC’s (and two iterations of the 3.0), 3.2 Carrera, and G-50 Carrera.

I’m guessing things are much better when shopping for a non-WRX? I’ve always wanted one and always been turned away when asking for a test drive. I don’t want one enough that I’m okay being treated like a jerk for asking to drive a car before I buy it.

Why is stunting any different from tax evasion?

It’s just way too loud in a car with basically no sound deadening and an engine behind your head (also 4 cylinder turbos don’t sound great in general).

The M&K exhaust on my 911SC does not fail to set off car alarms every time I drive it and it’s still less obnoxious than the race exhaust on an Alfa 4C.

I also tried to buy a 4C. Every yellow one I found was discounted 15-20k, but I couldn’t find a deal on a grey one WITHOUT the race exhaust.

I’ve been without a Speedo for about a week and I’m pretty sure I drive much faster without it.

Love that they built this car, but definitely not for me. It’s heavier than my 997 GTS and I still get a stereo. Don’t want to give up my NA and hydraulic steering, either.

Asked around and it turns out many of my friends picked up A3's for closer to ~$34k. Makes a ton more sense to me at that price-point. Only slightly more expensive than the Miata I’ll get to keep after I finish losing my hair and get a divorce, right?
