Oh you've said so much that's sparked even more questions from me. I am intrigued by one sentence straight away:
"Menzies’s performance was aided, in the case of Episode 6, by famous lines borrowed from Hemingway and Conrad, which heightened the dialog."

It's good to hear that not being a reader of the books, this season has disappointed you. I don't mean to imply that I'm happy to hear you were disappointed, only that it's usually the book lovers who say so. I too would think people were set up for it by seeing Claire at the beginning of the episode, and watching her

No forgiveness needed. I welcome your remarks, always. I'd like to hear what you think of my reply to Claudia Storer as well.
Yes, I completely agree it's all in the editing and I've even seen in the scripts for OL that many intimate lines have been cut for filming as well. What you say couldn't be truer in this

AND don't forget Jessica Jones. You can talk Josh Whedon all day long, if you like. He's done a lot right. The thing is, there's room enough for everything to be shown in different ways. What I don't get is why…the word "romance" is the big evil thing that it seems to be for a series. Why can't it be war withromance?

Ha! Yes. I am liking real life less and less though all the time.

I am absolutely at a loss as to why Ron Moore would diminish one of the main protagonists in his "adaptation" who happens to be a fine actor. Hueghan can handle a lot and we saw that most vividly in eps 15 & 16 from Season 1. Why he's been relegated to Scottish eye candy this season is completely beyond me. Outlander

I feel EXACTLY the same way about the series and Gabaldon's books. (The first 2-½ anyway, lol) oh how things would change if more women were involved. Perhaps we would start seeing more than one side.
By the way I'm not bashing all men in TV with a blanket statement, but it is a fairly male run environment and I do

I am pushed for time at the moment but will be back later this evening to comment on your insight into Sam this season.👍🏼

St. Dismas. Perfect! You've never said much about the project you're working on and I respect your privacy. I am just hoping it's something to do with you taking down the business of historical fiction on TV singlehandedly in your Boudicca Warrior way.

Oh, I see. My mistake. I had seen your past couple of comments on Sam in the last episode and assumed (should never assume) that you weren't much of a fan. In the hands of a skilled storyteller/showrunner, it could have gone so differently but alas, we are stuck with RM and his strive to 'surprise' people.

I know you're not a fan of Sam and that's fine…But most of his scenes have been taken away from him. Outlander has succeeded in making Jamie Fraser a supporting actor in his own story. He is so much more in the books. Tobias/BJR/Frank has been so elevated and pushed forward in this story and it's at great expense to

That sounds fantastic. You would be perfect for that type of thing. Any smart talk would be welcomed by me. How am I to follow you if you're not here commenting on OL.? I don't watch Vikings. Just can't get into it for some reason. Now you've got me pining for that Historical Fiction website.

Exactly. LOL.

Yes the entertainment industry is still in the Dark Ages here unfortunately. outlander certainly needed a female showrunner who respected and understood the books. I read on a blog the perfect assessment of why the series is derailing at such a rapid pace:

Bang on. Underscore those boys lines because that's who's in charge here. Adolescent boys.
They have made an absolute cardboard travesty of an incredible story, iconic characters, and plot points that don't need pathetic attempts at surprising viewers.

They say it's an adaptation, which is all well and good and understandable when things have to play out differently on television than they do in a book. But when minor incidents, like the brothel and the King having a bowel movement become huge set pieces in place of important political plotting and details that need
