Been attempting to do that on the ground for years.  Single cell failure still drops the voltage under the threshold for the computers to work.

I’ve had one cell fail that rendered the other 5 useless.

I don’t know...  I’ve had many more batteries fail than engines.

I have an email somewhere in my archives from Ford engineering stating that remote keyless entry (RKE) cannot be enabled on a vehicle that was not optioned with RKE.

Generally on Fords all you need is the switch and you can enable cruise control with an as-built modification.
