Oh my god...it feels so good to read other people have done this lmao. A lot of the newer RPGs at least have in game synopsis to remind you wtf you were doing but most of the old stuff does. not. and it’s terrible.

I guess my tolerance comes mostly from what’s around it? If the show is literally all fanservice, then no, I will not enjoy it just because it does nothing for me personally. If the story makes it worth it to roll my eyes through stuff clearly meant to ~entice~, then, well, I can deal with it.

I can reassure you it’s 200% a compliment, I’ve actually been thoroughly enjoying the uptick of sort of unknown games being showcased on the site recently, and a few of the things I’ve tried recently were a direct result of your articles. :)

Recently started up my FF14 free month (after buying the whole shabang for 20 some dollars during Cyber Monday) so I imagine a lot of that will be in my future. I am very confused by everything but it’s been entertaining so far and keeping my attention.

SO3 was probably my favorite of the series, too. SO4 is when the game went off the rails imo.

I feel like you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t take your time. I’ve spent so much of my in game time already just kind of exploring, especially now that I have my chocobo frand I can rent.

I’d love to see 6 remastered but it feels like they gave up on that after 4 for whatever reason. I would love to see 6 in beautiful 3D along with Chrono Trigger, which tbh is badly in need of the upgrade treatment too. A port to the DS was not enough.

Maybe I’ll pick it up then, the next time I see it on sale. The last stuff burned me out so much that I was wary of dealing with it again. Especially since by the time I realized what it was doing, I was too far in to quit.

I wouldn’t have even minded it if it was like one reset, too, to show the power of the bad guy. But when I realized to really, really complete the game and see everything it required me to do it multiple times (every time harder, with different compositions of the bosses each rerun through), I wanted to smack my head…

This is a YMMV kind of thing because I am very confused just reading you’re not digging the characters...I legitimately am enjoying them and their reactions as I run around. I guess I’m just more on board with the dude buddy trip than you, which is fine! I like a lot of different genres but for whatever reason 13's…

Meanwhile, this is honestly my favorite of the series by far in...god, years. Which surprised me, as I was initially pretty dubious. Still nowhere near how great the old games were (6 and 9 will always be my favorites), but they made a admirable attempt at doing an open world game and I’ve been enjoying it a lot.

I have never seen this movie so I have no idea if this is your response to me not finding good vampire stuff, but I did say ‘vampire /anime/’, which this is not lol. I am very curious if there’s an anime out there that has vampires but doesn’t fall for the creepy tropes. :P

I’ve only attemped to watch a couple of vampire (or vampire-like creatures) anime and all of them seem to have That Character. I’m sure someone can find instances where they don’t stoop so low, but /man/. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. :S

I shrug off a lot (though admittedly don’t watch any to my knowledge that seem to be all about showing off animated boobs and butts) but the one thing that has me shutting off a show within seconds is seeing little girl (or, like you said, characters that look like little girls but aren’t, WINK WINK)…
