While hacking systems is fun, let us not be dishonest in saying it doesn’t hurt developers. There is no situation where a hacked console/handheld somehow magically leads to more sales outside of system-only. And sadly that doesn’t cover the expense of developers messing around.

I’m hoping the positive reviews from the Tomb Raider Pro support will make their approach standard. I like the 60fps mode but mostly play the down sampled 4k mode on my 1080p.

I completely agree. ‘Pro’ was a poor choice and I wonder whether this was a cultural/language misstep. Nearly any other suffix (platinum, S, X, Blue, Premium or even PS4k) would have played better. 

How can they not get higher fps with double the GPU power? That’s what confuses me. This should be as simple as upgrading an older nVidia card to a GeForce 1070. There should be no extra work involved. Plug and play.

That’s my main concern. I would have bought it on day one (I don’t currently have a console, just gaming PC) if all the games would run at 60fps @1080. So far it seems sorta kinda maybe... dependent on the game.
