Hang on now, this truck isn't in the same class as the Raptor. This is a heavy duty truck which would be more accurately compared to the Ford F-250.... which cranks out 385 HP and 405 lb.-ft of torque.

I agree, I believe they were far more interested in keeping the stock prices up then anything. That being said, I don't think they did anything that anybody with a controlling stake in a giant corporation wouldn't do (which is still wrong, btw). It's all about them benjamins.

This recall is a coverup by the Obama administration who were trying to justify their bailout of GM. They wanted to be free and clear of all holding in the company before the recall was allowed to happen. Now that the government no longer has funds tied up in GM, they are throwing them under the bus as a distraction…

GM fucked up, that much is clear, but let's also be clear that everyone has blown this problem up for selfish reasons.

This whole thing is going to get way bigger than "unintended acceleration". I think Akerson dipped out knowing what was coming, and they either blindsided Mary Barra, which is extremely unlikely, or she took the reins knowing there was going to be a lot of heat, but she would still be the big 3s first female CEO.
