Has anybody cornered the “I’d rather be VMing than Stroking” window cling/bumper sticker market yet? If not, I might finally have my million dollar idea!

David, it’s all about wanting to own something “different”. And “different” doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to scream “look at me”.
But would you really want to drive it in the winter? You’ll run into the same situation as the bulk of your vehicles...you won’t want the salt to destroy it. This will lead to you continue to drive your “heap Jeep” and hate your life.
I laughed my ass off at that. “I need better pay to make the $1500 a month payment on my truck that gets 10MPG in the city.”
David, the answer you seek was published (by YOU) on Monday. Get a 2nd generation Dakota. They are affordable, plentiful and (relatively) reliable.
I wouldn’t count on that. Only way would be to make one yourself.
Yup, you could get the 3.9L (2000-2003)or 3.7L (2004) in 2WD or 4WD with the NV3500, or the 4.7L in 2WD or 4WD with the NV3500.
That’s because it was an 80's “LA” series smogged 318. The Magnum series (introduced in 1992) was much better in terms of power.
This is actually the 9th Dakota I have owned. I’ve had an ‘87 (3.9L), ‘88 (3.9L 4wd 5-speed), ‘93 (318 4wd auto), 2-99's (one 3.9L 2WD, the other was a 318 4wd 5-speed) 3-2001's (all three have been 4.7L) and an 02 (4.7L 4wd 5-speed). It’s got a 177k on it and keeps going. Little bit of timing chain noise, but it’s to…
You knock it off David Tracy! You’re going to make these popular and pricier for those of us who were already aware of how great they are!
HD F-series.
Might want to do a little more research.
LT1 is the current V8 on base Corvette and Camaro SS.
I lust after an Orvis Edition ZJ. You can still find them once in a while here, but I’m at vehicle capacity for my current household.
Isn’t this the 4.2L L6? Couldn’t you use components out of it to build one of your 4.0L L6 engines into a stroker 4.6L? Perhaps built a stroker motor in your super clean XJ and drive that out west?
This truck has been for sale for over a year, the market is stating it is CP.
That is a legitimate statement. People who figure one party is responsible for screwing everyone is crazy. It is literally two sides of the same coin.
I JUST saw this truck on Craigslist over the weekend. I was driven to search for Jeep Gladiators while watching “Tremors 2: Aftershocks”.
An early 2000's Triumph Bonneville would be a good bike to look at. Early on it’s a 790cc, so insurance shouldn’t be bad. They are very reliable and exceptionally easy to ride (and pretty good looking too!). You should be able to find a 2001-2004 within your budget. I’ve got 30k miles on my 2002 and it hasn’t missed a…
You need the Max Trailering Package to get 3.42 with the 5.3L V8. I imagine if the truck was equipped with that package they would have (hopefully) mentioned it.
