Can someone explain to me why everyone these days seem to need 100+mbit internet? I’m all for speed, but not for paying $80/month. 24mbit is $25/month and that’s PLENTY for what I do.

How about a better reason, motorcycle sales are down HUGE (at least in america). Harley stock has been down the past 8 quarters because many new generation aren’t interested. I don’t really think about gas prices much. I drive a scion XD and average 35-40mpg without hybrid. My wife drives a mazda CX5 which averages 30mpg (and she now works from home). We sell one model to the “49 states”, then sell a special version to california that has stricter EPA standards (effectively it gets a catalytic converter on the output exhaust). In the city, there’s no reason a LAN cafe can’t profit. In the burbs, I’ve seen too many of them invest a lot of money only to realize most kids in the burbs don’t want to interact with people publicly.
