I'm doubting that was JUST projection, there were a few props (the chair on the train, the diving helmet, the boat). Still cool, but a holodeck it aint

It lost it's legs during take-off! Oh the huuuumanity!
the spec doesn't impress me, especially at a $100 price point. For about $30 I can get an equivalent solar panel (with usb out) the size of about 8" x 6" which could easily be attached to a backpack. Why would I strain myself to ride 12mph, and pay 3 times the cost when I can charge at the same rate with the sun…
I'm SERIOUSLY thinking about this. Done at least a dozen 5k's (this is just slightly longer), 34 mile bike ride is a little long but think I could handle it, 1/2 mile swim isnt' bad. All 3 in one day, that could be tough. Wonder if they'll do this every year?
One possible solution: tax the crap out of fast food. they do it with cigarettes because they're unhealthy. What's a pack up to these days, $8/pack?
I think this is still my favorite looking camaro. It's slightly boxy, but still streamlined. The tail lights remind me of a delorean. It came out right when I was at that age where cars became really interesting (12).
I will never scoff at .5% for NASA funding, I think it should be more. If you want a list of everything we reap the benefits of today, google "NASA spinoff". seems the only way to innovate anything today is by presenting an impossible challenge, and forces us to think outside of the box. If you REALLY look at what…
this is also the country that drifts right in the middle of rush hour traffic (and often, they miscalculate and hit bystanders). That country has trillions of dollars, they have nothing better to do. They're like a bunch of retarded rich kids with too much time on their hands.
I've always had a love for his music, however every single song is stealing the background loop from another song. Original he isn't, but he does make them sound better than the originals. I always think of this song when summer comes around.
You make crap money working for any company. Own your own truck, you can make some decent money (still crap work). Of course owning your own truck also means maintaining it, and getting it fixed when it breaks down (no backup rig). Still, potentially if they don't own a house, that means no mortgage, no property…
Servo motors are still wayyy too slow. Nobody would move their facial muscles that slowly, THAT's what makes it look un-natural

While this is cool, am I the only one that thinks projects like this are blasphemous? I mean, there's only like, 7500 deloreans.
while this is very cool (first time I've seen a bicycle powered helicopter), isn't this pointless? I mean an airplane is twice as efficient as a helicopter, and our bodies are limited to the amount of power we can produce. Seems to me it makes more sense to build a more efficient and affordable (perhaps…
this looks very simliar to the 3-wheeled stair dolly.. though it looks like he has possibly some sort of closed loop pneumatic cushioning judging by those tubes?
reminds me of that seti cancer project.. spare some cpu cycles in the background to run molecule simulations. Perhaps if we do the same with mapping a brain, we can really speed up the process of simulating a brain once we figure out how it works. Perhaps kurzweil was right, mind transfer by 2030.. He just didn't…
reminds me of (falling down)
this is the only thing that made paul simon cool. Garfunkel gave him a bad image.
