I thought we’d have some sort of augmented-reality smart windshield glass. Like a heads-up display, but better. Something that would show arrows and instructions for navigation, maybe highlight road signage.

When GPS got popular, I thought we were only a decade or so out from augmented reality on our windshields. Not a HUD arrow telling you to turn left, but actually making the correct lane glow green.
I am surprised that we have to drive so much. I thought by 2022 we would all live and work in giant city size buildings (like Demolition man).
What do actual, real world, Lyft/Uber drivers think about this? Not the select few on this site (there is bias here), but company wide?
Nothing about any of this is OK.
There was an initial study from an Aerospace institute and Texas A&M. In 2020 the FCC auctioned off the 3.7-3.98 GHz band (radio altimeters start 4.2 GHz) and admitted that more research was needed to see if there’d be issue with radio altimeters. RTCA (Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics) released their study…
That last statement isn’t correct. Germany isn’t replacing nuclear with coal. They are choosing to phase out both. It’s just that nuclear’s timeline is shorter. There will be no increase in coal to make up for the loss of nuclear. 76 of their 84 existing coal plants are scheduled to close by 2030.
This is all utter and complete horseshit.

Really, that’s all it took to get you to stop wrenching? Should have smacked it harder with your purse.
Nah, seeing a stuck part move imbibes excitement and a sense of success, not abject terror and anxiety about the upcoming 18 years.
That is true...but I would say it’s even more of a waste to actually spend time and money training this stuff that will not work in a real situation.
One of the important things with martial arts or self defense training is repetition. Muscle memory allows you to react quicker and with consistency (if you were properly trained.) Watching something online without practicing numerous times in real life is a waste.
The real trick is not letting it dip below 50 mph.
Ugh the exercise thing.
These will never be collectible. Nobody ever had a Buick Retta poster in their childhood bedroom. 1990s cars that were going to be collectible are already going up in value.
I don’t have an opinion on the cars but I’m reminded of the Dennis Miller line:
That would be a ridiculous move. The M119 motor is among the best Benz v8s ever.
