Does anyone else find it weird that someone, celebrity or otherwise, would be a paid "sponsor for" something so, well, permanently body-altering? I know they do it all the time and I've always thought it was weird, from diet pills to that horrible lash-lengthening stuff (for shame, Claire Danes!). I guess I'm not sure

@sofas.chairs: Holy shit. I have/had this same problem. I was so afraid of vomiting as a child that I would barely eat. I didn't throw up for 12-13 years and I credit this with sheer will alone. It's gotten a lot better, but whenever I'm around someone who is throwing up, I still turn away/freeze up/feel my vision

@mooievoetjes: The roaring sound!! I think my dad and aunt do this... Though I'm pretty sure both can burp. Hmm. Now that I think of it, have I ever heard my dad burp? I'm not sure...

@Roger: OMG OMG OMG. Me too. Same story. It fucking sucks. I hate it. I'm so ashamed of it because I'm scared it makes me look like a total freak. Which I guess is kind of weird considering I wear (mostly) men's clothes and have a fairly fluid concept of gender and my own identity.

Ugh ugh ugh. Family vs. significant other drama. MsRocker and I are both hurting and holding each other in the face of it. I love her. I love them. It sucks.

@lambsy: Picture? Plz?

@helechoanarquista: I can't speak for everyone, but I can tell you why I don't specifically jump on the feminist bandwagon.

@helechoanarquista: I honestly, honestly, honestly don't think it's a dodge. Can't it be that some people just don't jump on the feminist-identifying bandwagon, or have jumped on a different one that includes elements of feminism?

@chritter is a nocturnal feminist mancatfish: Well... I think egalitarians — or at least the ones I know — tend to meld into other organizations. That OR they start their own but don't term them specifically as egalitarian. Some contribute heavily to Ethical Culture centers, either in volunteering or participating or

@katedaysaweek: How about via an x-ray, an x-ray of a living woman? That's the issue. I think the screenplay is part courtroom drama where they have to prove that this woman was pregnant/had a kid or something like that.

@t.king-real mrs pratt: Hmmm. I think it's supposed to be NOT post mortem, but from the x-ray of a living woman. From what my friend said, there's like this court case in the movie she's writing and they have to prove if this woman gave birth or something.

@blah: 'Fraid it's not too exciting. A buddy is writing a medical screenplay. Not sure what it is about, though.

@toxicrocker: omg wtf gtfo!: Can you tell if a woman has given birth to a baby from a pelvic x-ray or an x-ray of another area of the lower torso that captures the pelvis? If so, what are some of the graphical differences?

I have a question for medical Jezzies, particularly those who can read x-rays. Q in reply.

@chritter is a nocturnal feminist mancatfish: I don't think egalitarian is a weasel-word dodge. I'm a female egalitarian myself, and I find it to be equally as committal. I prefer it, in fact, because I find it to be more ideologically inclusive. It fits me well, and I wear it proudly.

@DeSilva Surfer: It would only be better if she was screaming "SMIZE" instead of "LASER."

What, no ladies? :(

Hmmm. Maybe this "macho culture" is more prevalent in younger Latvians... My father's family, all Latvians, are more the stoic and brooding types than the chest-pounding, womanizing sorts...
