Beyond what people listed here, Des2ny is a loot-based shooter. when more gear is behind microtransactions than the actual loot grind. There’s a problem. If all of Diablo’s loot other than weapons was behind microtransactions, no one would’ve played it.

I’m guessing this was a move. He will get hate. He will lose popularity. And he knows it. This may be him putting the family before the brand. Showing everyone, including the family, he is willing to risk the whole career to be honest now, or whatever.
