God that was the worst. I actually clicked on this article hoping it would be a takedown of that one.

Oh they already had their own special “let’s criticize Beyonce” moment this week:

I basically threw my phone against the wall reading that interview. The self righteousness.

I thought about the article on Jez the other day about some person shilling for her book in her quest to get paid and how she deflected talk about white feminism by focusing on Beyonce. It’s all fine and dandy for the writer to get paid, but god forbid a Black woman do so as well. She was pretty tone-deaf and

The majority of people who benefit from voucher programs are poor and nonwhite. Black and Hispanic parents support school choice in overwhelming numbers .

Why are enlightened white progressives so against this again? Is it because they like their segregated schools based on real estate values?

The white working class WAS forgotten and ignored. And the coastal elites’ complete comfort with that is precisely why somebody like Trump was able to waltz into those areas and do well. He may have been full of shit and lied that he’d make their problems better, but at least he acknowledged that they had problems in

Actually.... Poc and woc like myself are very mad at Hillary for losing to a home alone extra. It’s not bernies fault she didn’t campaign in critical states. Also as a Latina, I’m pissed at her because her Latino outreach was garbage. She threw pennies at some Latinos and they had to make find their way to make ends

Thank you for being the voice of reason in this clusterfuck comment thread.

McCain’s percentage of the total vote: 45.7%

I think you’re missing a lot of key points.

People don’t give this stuff a lot of thought. We need constituents in swing states and Republican states getting involved to protect ACA. People instinctively think “they’ll hate the Socialist,” but they ignore the fact that those tend to be the states where Sanders won in the primary.

The huge numbers of people who voted for Obama in the past two elections and then stayed home on voting day did not do so because of Sanders. I realize you don’t want to accept this, but I don’t know what else to tell you.

Bernie supporters turned out for Hillary at a higher rate than Hillary supporters turned out for Obama in ‘08. Maybe you should’ve listened to people telling you that HRC was an awful, unelectable candidate instead of being offended that someone would dare challenge her rightful ascension to the throne.

How did Bernie get us where we are today? By being the only real liberal candidate? By entering a rigged primary and revealing how unpopular Hillary was in key swing states she would go onto lose in the general?

Oh don’t be ridiculous. He endorsed Hillary in the end, and maybe if she was a real progressive instead of a liar then she could have won the election.

bernie sanders inscribed ancient sigils on the wisconsin border to keep clinton from campaigning there.

You know what, Dems, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Blame Hillary and her staff for running a bad campaign if you want to blame anyone. Or all the primary voters who voted for her even though she didn’t have a very good chance of winning the general.

Yeah, this is happening because a small amount of people voted for someone who they actually believed in. Not, you know, because of the massive amount of the country that’s small minded and hateful.

Just to back this up because I keep repeating it: if we use Jill Stein’s 2012 vote totals as a baseline and compare them to 2016 and assume that EVERY new Stein voter would have voted for Hillary then Hillary STILL loses the election. The only state Hillary picks up is Michigan.
