Nice, both of my parents were competitive glider pilots back in Europe, getting the the trailers out and collecting planes landed off airfields were a common practice at the end of a race day.
Looks like the flaps are up, so maybe he pulled the flaps up when attempting the go around, at that point it was over, lucky he walked away from it.
