It looks alright, these are computer rendered images, right? The wheel spokes “pikes” point the opposite direction between front and rear on the right side, and the same direction on the left side, hmmm...

Did you miss the sign language translator guy standing right there next to them?

Meh, gas is already 4-5 dollars a gallon here in Ca, plenty of gas guzzlers around.

Pikes Peak Suzuki Escudo in Gran Turismo,  twin-turbo V6 pushing 981 HP, maximum torque of 687.1 lb-ft, with 800kg. That thing was a monster, and extremely fun to slide around.

Just call it Warthog, everyone else does.

I really like the FC, it could have been a modern version of the UAZ 452 which is really close to my heart (and spent a lot of times in back in the old country).

Bubbles (Wires, not Trailer Park) and Johnny would grab these for sure.

Oh Frankfurt, I have done a bunch of transatlantic flights in the late nineties, and coming from CA (where indoor smoking is mostly banned everywhere), it always shocked me the “cigarette smoked filled” terminals in Germany (at least that’s how it felt to me).

In other news: “Russian military age male refuses to go to Ukraine”.

Not a car but a bike, Honda Xr650L, released in 1992, still on sale unchanged (other than paint and graphics). It is a solid, simple, rugged bike, so it is not shocking that it is still wanted, but the lack of update in it’s 30+ year run is something to gawk at.

Peak Group B Rally from the eighties (Renault Turbo, Metro 6R4, Peugeot 205 turbo, the classics...)

That Viper license plate, lol.

It acts like shifting into lower gear to save your brakes. Works really well for downhill sections. B = Brake

Excellent article! AV Club needs more like this.

So, no old mentor/buddy character? Better be a polar bear in there somewhere.
