Not disagreeing in general. However working on the tarmac is dangerous, the crew working on this instance were briefed twice, and even if this person missed the brief both times, the company’s manual clearly states the safety distance in case the engine is still running. Unfortunate, tragic, but preventable accident.

Nobody will read this but the image on your article shows a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, which is a turboprop, so a gas turbine drives the prop, and burns jet fuel (no lead), not avgas (leaded).
