We love our truck bling, a tow truck is a special construction, made to order vehicle and it is expensive! Might as well get all the "shiny" and round up the numbers :)
This happened in 1998 or 99, can't remember the year, so 800 was a bit more then, at the time we charged hourly for law enforcement calls, different agencies cost different rates. SD Sheriff was around 130/hour at the time (CHP 90/hour for comparison), so time spent plus additional fees added up to around 800.
Not my picture, however just a 20 minute drive from the accident site there is Palomar Mtn. which has snow in the winter months, the wonder of southern California :)
