This is the whole deal - publicity. There are no flat earthers. There are trolls and attention seekers.

It’s even less of a big deal than you think. Apple has nothing to spend their money on. It’s a hell of a problem, but they have it. What to buy?.. - you suggested Netflix. That’s about all that’s left, isn’t it? Oh wait, here’s a $50M thing for magazines that is perfect for the iPad. Doesn’t really matter if there is…
Sort of like when Bush or Obama throws out the first baseball, how we get enraged that the batter didn’t just smash it right back into his forehead?
I always thought it was the water. If I can submerge for, well forever if I have to, briefly exposing nostrils while fire and brimstone are coming down, then I’m better off than the guy guarding a nest for 6 months on the plains. And yet, not bound to the water - I can make a rough living on land, even traveling…
I don’t think so. The event horizon is just the mathematical point that light cannot escape. If you were in a spaceship made of mass, your personal event horizon would be far outside of that. So we would watch you falling in until you passed the event horizon proper, where you would simply disappear from our view.…
Yeah. When a town in Germany does exactly the same thing, it’s all about freedom and it’s so wonderful and we hope mean old Microsoft doesn’t pull dirty tricks to stop them.
You know what was just petty of them? The crystal power quests in UnGoro crater. The little gnome woman in a cave would show you how to make buff crystals. I was still going back to make more crystals while leveling in Northrend.
I never killed the Lich King back in the day - Professor Putricide stopped us. Killed him for fun in MoP and then, yes, he was cheap and easy.
Do you remember the answer to your plight back then?
Agreed, but I will submit that chain-running 5 mans in Wrath with the LFG (and early Cata even) was great fun. It could have been managed and contained so as to not kill the social.
This. You’d totally get called out in trade for asshattery.
Don’t listen to them. The game was better back then, and it’s hard to tell you exactly why. All the little things that people bring up was a part of it, and everyone has their own opinion of which ones mattered most.
Yes the LFG was added in Wrath, but had not yet destroyed the social. Plus, it was just for 5 mans. Kept as it was, and tweaked responsibly, LFG could have been, and was for some time, a great addition.
“Wrath found a good center,”
I don’t get the hate for Vash’jir. The music is awesome and Hyjal is a grind by comparison. (It might have helped that the Druid swim speed glyph stacked, and I was at about 400% speed. Aside from constantly running into things, I loved it.)
Huh, I thought Khadgar was great. I may be biased though, having made so much gold farming Khadgar’s Whisker.
I think you figured out who the Kirin Tor were on your own, even if you somehow missed Khadgar’s ‘I left the Kirin Tor but still know how to do magic’. The orc clans were explained just fine; Orcs exist and they listed off a number of clans. What’s to understand? That Durotan was leader of Frostwolf clan is all that…
Be sure you have the sound up and decent speakers. I turn it up and the noises down a bit in prefs so the music really comes through. Especially that Native American drum and woodwind thing going in Tauren land.
Wintergrasp was all Horde on my server (Ghostlands), until at some point after ICC, all that changed. Ally eventually became dominant, but we had quite a few evenly matched battles for a while.
Huh. Bigger teeth. In fact, fangs that drag the ground. And more stuff stuck on.
