My bosses hate when someone says “sorry I’m so busy right now” because it sounds rude.

In my last office I made sure all my employees had input in hiring decisions, and it was a huge mistake if we ever chose someone who didn’t fit the culture. It was an excellent atmosphere and lots of camaraderie. Everyone was invested in the success of everyone else.

I have three - but I work in an office that isn’t pet friendly (maybe they are? YUP. I did promotions when i was in grad school- guess how awkward it was when I walked in with my models to a bar one night and one of my students is the bartender.... like yeah girl i gotta get paid too.

I just found out an old coworker of mine, someone I greatly admire and who is an administrator for a cancer clinic, was just diagnosed with HPV-initiated cancer of the oral pharynx. He posted an amazing message on facebook urging people to vaccinate their children against HPV and to FINISH THE SERIES.

Basically anywhere in Idaho forces you to unplug because of complete lack of service unless you’re in one of the handful of towns with service. Also I think ‘rural Idaho’ is redundant.... :P (I can say that because I live here but NO ONE ELSE CAN!)

I am partial to british and australian crime dramas... the dr blake mysteries is amazing (he’s like an older, distinguished chris pratt!), top of the lake, poldark, wentworth, and many more... but they’re not good ‘recreational’ shows. For that I stick to bob’s burgers and bojack horseman.
