And yet, doujin are fine in Japan. There is, or at least was, an understanding between businesses and those that promoted them through derivative works.
My initial point was that interactive media is fundamentally different from non-interactive media and thus cannot be subject to the same rules. This is why what Nintendo is doing is illogical.
No one is arguing that YouTube can do whatever they want. No one is arguing that YouTube owes anyone anything. These claims make up a great amount of your text. Be more concise.

I agree. I feel this is the same as Psycho Pass, season one being great and the second being disappointing, but still filled with good ideas.
It is absurd because the likeness is often there for convenience or realism. There is no profiting from a likeness. There really is no need to model after something specific, it’s just easier that way.
Its graphical simplicity lends itself to better-looking characters and environments than MH4, which looks like garbage.
It is precisely like forcing a law through a governing body because some people at YouTube have to make decisions on their policies. YouTube’s operators are Congress and “law” is “policy.”
Nintendo has a right to question, but not dictate terms. This issue is just like a big business writing a law and forcing Congress to pass it via threat of economic retaliation. This is why Nintendo is the problem. It is not logical and not right.
