Yep, I’m an idiot and was misunderstanding. I thought that the process of calling for the review had to be determined based on live play and broadcast angles, and that once in review, all footage would be usable.

But the call could have been made after the review, right? As the DPI is getting reviewed, they pick up the OPI and call offsetting penalties? Perhaps that’s what Riveron meant?

Regarding the Williams play: Even though the replays didn’t show and the broadcasters didn’t mention the OPI, wouldn’t the play still have been reviewed because the DPI call would have been considered dubious?
