I’m the sure the concept of public education and social security seemed like “magic” too at some point.

My awful fucking insurance company gave money to these dicks? I wish I were shocked.
Supply lines and their logistics do not just magically move to different countries when tariffs go into effect. Even with the added cost of the tariffs, it’s often still less expensive and chaotic to find ways to eat that cost or pass it on to consumers than “just getting American aluminum.”
I hope one day Mr. Carson has to go under the knife of a brain surgeon who is exactly as qualified for that position as Ben is to be HUD director.
I coach high school track. In many states, including where I coach, coaches and any other team staff are not allowed on the infield or track, period, during championship meets; we are extra strict and also don’t allow it at the conference championship meet. This race is a great example of why it’s a stupid rule.
This is the correct take.
If they are like Maine, at champ meets coaches cannot be on the track or infield (it’s a stupid fucking rule) which renders use largely useless, as it’s often in vain to try to be heard over the crowd of people in the stands or pressed up against the fence - every kid is different, and some really go into a “zone”…
I bet Iowa has a rule similar to Maine, where at championship meets, coaches arent allowed on the infield, where we would often be to coach our athletes in case of, say, an official fucking up.
IDK, I would bet the animosity towards Golden State is probably around the same as it was towards the Patriots circa 2005/2006, aka 5-6 years into their “dynasty” when Tom Brady was still just putting up above-average-at-best numbers and no one was calling him the GOAT.
Have GSW make 7 more finals in the next 10-12…
honestly when i worked customer service in any capacity it was hard to decide who was worse - the customers with no shame whatsoever who just loudly berated service workers, and were just obvious assholes, or the people like this, who act normal-ish in person but are secretly incredibly petty little micro-managers who…
I, personally, am excited for the democratically elected leaders of Southern state by Southern state pass laws like this, so that people can then go to great lengths to explain to me why the people who voted for the ghouls who wrote and passed these laws are actually not in any way responsible for it.
“i’m not going to debate with you about what the autocorrect on my phone does or doesn’t do,”
Autocorrect doesn’t change “reeks” into “wreaks” but I see denying responsibility for anything is a trend with you.
Implying my point about there being a shitload of stupid people in the South is incorrect while using the entirely wrong word is delicious, tbh.
Yeah, and Paul Lepage won Maine with first only 38% of the vote, and then like 45%. That in no way changes the fact that a larger group of people who turned out to vote voted for a moronic bigoted hick than any of their other options. As a Mainer, it was a MASSIVE indictment of Maine voters, and I can accept that.…
Bruh an actual real life serial pedophile lost a senate race in Alabama by less than 2% points, and it wasn’t even actually clear that being a pedophile would be enough to turn off Alabama voters until election day! Yes, there are “a lot” of people who don’t support these things and have been disenfranchised in some…
I’ll have to check out HOTS. I just started playing LoL for the first time about two weeks ago - admittedly, while I’ve heard a LOT about the toxic player base (in fact, despite being a HUGE fan MOBA type games back to the OG Shattered Galaxy, I avoided LoL and Dota 2 all these years specifically because of what I’ve…
Probably not, other than as a relay alternate. It actually works out pretty well though, as it means he will be ready for the OGs when he is 21/22 and 25/26, which are pretty much peak competing years for sprinters. He is going to run into the same issue as a good female 100m hurdler in the US (though to a lesser…
I don’t know why I thought he was going to play football, I think I was mixing up him and someone else - but yes I know about UGA’s track program, currently the greatest female sprinter and jumper to ever come out of Maine is competing for them :)
If he is considering it I hope someone advises against it, or he goes the route of someone like Harris where his deal with Nike in part requires him to finish his degree. These are incredible times, but Jeff Demps ran about the same (10.00 in HS?) and made more in his one year playing the NFL on a 500k contract than…
