Very true. In Blizzard’s case though, their player-base are also subscribers. You can offer your product for a discount because you’ll reclaim any “loss” through the subscription fees. In ArenaNet’s case, their income is slightly more limiting. They’ve also consistently pushed free updates for well over two years.

With the GW2 expansion? They’re bundling the base game together. That’s not something Blizzard did during the first few WoW expansions.

WoW’s expansions have been less expensive, yes. However, you’re paying a subscription fee. This is a one-time $50, which isn’t too bad. What it really boils down to are the “veteran” players that have a full roster of character slots, and are pissed off that the standard edition of the expansion doesn’t include a free

Honestly, I really don’t understand why so many people are whining about this. Apparently none of them have played WoW, and dealt with how Blizzard pushed expansions.

Two million dollars to replace it? That’s absolute bullshit.

Oh, damn...what have I done to myself!

You have to buy them dinner first.

Cheap, yet filling a role for the proletariat masses.

No Gobot love? I am disappointed in you.

Exactly! Their jealousy is so transparent. I’d have done the same in an instant.

No, thank you. This is wrong.

Good. I’m tired of these “millennials” talking about how “good” they are at shitty games like Destiny and Bloodborne. Time for them to get a wake-up call.

At least he’s honest. That seems in short supply these days.

Not exactly. They can also cover similar industries, competing companies, and (in my case specifically) client/provider relations, etc. Riot supports the teams, and employs Lynge. It’s a conflict of interest. This wouldn’t be an issue if he had notified Riot, and negotiated a workaround.

If you sign a non-competition contract, you’re bound by it. At my current job, I am barred from seeking a job with our clients for at least three years. It sucks, but that’s the way it is. Lynge knew better, and should have communicated with Riot early on.

I fully support our robot overseers.

I see a mutually beneficial sponsorship in the near future.

Those animals won’t kill themselves!

Oregon Trail was awesome.

Slapping in a long-lost/estranged wife is a cheap move, and shows a lack of vision for the overall story.
