I think it’s a fine idea but I’m also in the mentality of not telling someone how to tell their stories. It’s conflicted. Obviously there’s a huge demand for it, so I don’t see why not at least make a bit of DLC. Seems people would happily pay for it.

I wish Nintendo would see this and go “hey, maybe it’s worth making something out of this!” but it’s obviously more likely they’re seeing this and going “Find their address and send it to our legal team.”

I understand the bit about being in awe with Monster Hunter running at a better framerate, but ...I’m lost at the comment about ‘certain games being meant to be at 30fps” especially the 24fps bit.

Oh, it’s SHARED?? ...That changes everything. I wasn’t aware it was not only juggling OS and game but also the vram, that’s pretty bad. A step up from the PS3 and 360 which had ...512MB roughly?

I already got that beat, Gears of War 4 for windows 128GB. Annoyingly I can’t seem to delete it because of permission issues. Comedy work by microsoft.

That I know, it’s something PC games dealt with ages ago where you had the option of installing little, a bit or a lot of the game onto the PC, though it still would read off the disc for things.

Which, annoyingly is a bandaid solution that while it works it’s something that costs the consumer to address it, much like the Switch’s awful internal memory size.

NiS hasn’t been doing a great job with games on PC for a while. The OG disgaea had issues that took them a while to address, Ys 8 was a comically long delay that still resulted in a awful port and now this?

And despite that move, many games still have a abysmally slow load times on PS4. Yes I’m aware larger assets etc.

Maybe I’ll try this since, somehow my 6 physical games (and 4 physical games my friend’s play) eats up over 60% of my hard drive. I don’t have a single digital game, I haven’t bought any DLC yet, my HDD is getting cramped.

It’s funny you mention that because I’ve been in arguments about price with games. The companies I bring up are capcom and sony since they’ve had some excellent collections that are often either packed with games for $50-60 or are around $40 and have a few games (the exception being Last of Us I guess) vs Nintendo who

Sony for sure is good about keeping their shop up but I’m less enthused about the lack of backward compatibility they’re sporting on their PS4. Especially given the OG PS3's amazing ability to play ...everything. And PSP having native PS1 support it seems. Still getting use out of my PS3, even though I had it on for

I think you misread, let me clarify for you.

Hm, odd. I was still seeing PS1 games listing the PSP as a compatible platform. Perhaps that’s from the ability to transfer it from the PS3.

PS3 and 360‘s servers are still up for sales and that system is far, far older than the WiiU. Heck, I think the PSP still has it’s shop up still.

They certainly share fault since unlike everyone else, even Nintendo’s other devices let you back up your save data. Which is part of the person’s problem, had the save data been able to be backed up or at least saved to the microSD card, then yeah, there’s a repair bill but all your save data is still fine.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s a fine game but, like all open world games (skyrim, farcry, etc) the story isn’t paced at all so 90% of the fun is exploring and screwing around with the world.

I want to get the game for the Switch but, they’re insane at that price. I really wish Nintendo stopped with jacking their games up to full price, years after they’ve come out.

It’s very much a short sighted way that a LOT of businesses want. They want ALL the money NOW when something is out. That way it looks impressive. Vs a lot of money that’s a constant steady stream.

Nintendo being awful with online features is no surprise, that said I find sony’s to be pretty bad as well. Maybe I’ve just been out of the console loop but I don’t find it very easy to find some items. I was looking for DLC for a game recently, couldn’t get to the DLC list. Again, maybe I’m just dumb but the
