I got the actual game complete, a PSP version and the steam version. I think if I get anymore PSIV I’m good! ...(I’m currently forcing a friend to co-op it with me, it’s amusing watching him enjoy it)

I thankfully went straight through best buy, it was a warranty I paid for but it got me through quite a few units.

I don’t understand console loyalty, games are the art, the console is the platform. Unless the controller irks you that badly (Wii being one for me) I don’t get it either.

Ah, I guess you get more than a few games digitally. I have only a handful either for free or digital only etc. The updates and installs ...did creep up on the teeny 60GB though.

Same, played it on the Sega Channel of all things back in the day. Only had the pleasure of getting an actual cartridge on ebay over a decade later!

It’s surely a great game and is actually linked into the other 4 games. Every game is referenced in the 4th title (they usually let newbies know to some extent on the big ones).

Oh yeah, you can find it anywhere. But, I’ve had people honestly say they wouldn’t try it either because it was on the Genesis because “that thing didn’t have good RPGs” or “I don’t feel comfortable playing games from a platform that competed with Nintendo”.

With a 56% failure rate ,self admitted by MS, it was a shot in the dark if your system would be good.

Yikes, that’s a hell of a lot of bad stumbling from Customer Service at a bad time.

I’ve never been a ‘loyal’ platform owner. Had a Genesis and a Game Gear, went to a PS1 got a N64 late in the game (Conkers Bad Fur Day!), a PS2, GC etc.

256GB sounds like a luxury for that device, I was rolling with the OG 20GB which left roughly ...16 or so. I didn’t get many digital games for it at all. But yeah a lot of full releases were well out of my systems range.

Everyone I know had some issue, either a disc drive failure, or the e74 or ...well the last one isn’t the unit’s fault but the HDMI port failed after a lightning strike nearby.

Now playing

Speaking of Phantasy Star IV, someone cared enough to redo the intro:

Yeah, without the manual or a guide the skills in PSIV are kind of up in the air for you to figure out. Same with some of the gear.

I always recommend people to logitech, the gear is good and if something does go wrong, it seems to get sorted pretty good!

I was out of my warranty by a few months, apparently. I was using a best buy warranty for those other ones. They always exchanged it, no questions asked. The girl at the desk when I had 2 die in one day was like “...seriously?” she was going to try to get me one of the Halo ones because she heard they were better for

Their gear is great in general but yeah give them a call and they seem to sort any issues.

I didn’t get to the newer looking 360's, it was always that OG white one. I’m told that was pretty much a 56% failure rate straight up. I enjoyed it for the most part ...when they worked. They had better mulitplatform games for the most part either looking or running better but...that dpad is so bloody awful haha.

That, and all these stories in the comment section are impressive. When my 360 died for the SEVENTH TIME (only console I’ve ever, EVER had any issue with) Microsoft wanted something like ...$150 and they’d apply a warranty to THAT part only.

This is an easy answer, Dpads pivot, meaning you can roll your thumb over it to get diagonals. Not only are you getting the idea of which direction you’re putting in better because of the shape but you’re able to smoothly apply pressure across to another direction. So, yes it does 100% offer better accuracy,
