They’ve joined in scummy fee-2-pay games, they don’t get a free pass because they’re Nintendo. The other animal crossing games were meant to be played in bursts, sure, but they didn’t charge you for the pleasure of actively playing the game.

While waiting has been a mechanic in the series, sure, the other games didn’t have it’s hand out for money the entire bloody adventure.

I hope small businesses like mine that make hand made stuff will be under a decent value package under the new rule of the Verizon/Comcast regulations.

I heard it wasn’t so hot from another reviewer. Maybe after the servers are dead for the game and it’s comically discounted I’ll pick it up.

What about the Sega Genesis? Sega CD? Sega Genesis/32x+CD? The SNES? The Famicom disk system?? CDi? 3Do!? Atari 7800?? How can you leave these big players out of the equation!? :V

True enough. There’s also those games I just can’t get into gameplay wise but I’d like to see what’s up. Like with Metal Gear, great series but not my kinda thing. But a LP of it? The fun times.

Capsules are physical items you can play with, sell, trade, burn. They’re yours to do with as you please.

I disagree, with those cards you’re able to trade with a friend or a vendor, sell them on ebay. If you want a specific one you can, trade, buy and haggle. You don’t even need to trade for the same brand/type of card.

Folding socks, laundry, etc. :P

Say you’re busy all day, but you’re by a screen and you want to play something fun. So, you stop folding socks for a second, turn on a Let’s Play of Resident Evil and watch. Maybe you learn something new, maybe you find the person funny and now every time you’re folding socks you’re watching a game since you can’t

This is a topic about playing the device portability and then wanting to hook it up to the screen at someone’s house NOT just the portability of the device, or at least I thought that’s where this topic was going.

Considering the dock is larger than most handheld devices by itself, no I really don’t see it as a portable item. It’s large and cumbersome. Infact many handheld devices could fit IN the dock’s big gap.

I think that’s kind of missing the point. The Switch is portable, 100% there with ya. But you get to your friends house and you want to play on his bigass TV and ...well you can’t. The dock is not very portable, heck even the charger is a bit on the huge side in terms of fat power bricks for portables. Carrying

This is going to have a serious backlash and these companies, as usual won’t see it coming.

The industry may have a bit of a hate for 2D stuff but stuff like this is just a treat to see.

These are really, really impressive.

I fail to see how artists from decades later being inspired by an art-style by people who had different ideologies, terms and a vastly different world are related.

I’m not saying DOOM had great multiplayer but, considering there’s only ONE multiplayer shooter on the Switch and not everyone may be a fan this would be the only alternative. Not a bad one either.

To be fair ..this might be the one place where DOOM’s multiplayer gets to shine in a good light since there’s not much in multiplayer shooter just ...splatoon? So this could be a great place for shooting on the go

I wanted to like this game, I knew the story was going to be awful (even then it managed to impress me how awful it was) but if the gameplay was good, like Unleashed’s day levels or Generations then it’d be fine...
