I'm somewhat disappointed in all of the entries. When I thought of "coolest cubicle" I was thinking most teched-out/gadgeted-out (l.e.d.s optional, but not preferred), most well-organized, most clever, inspiring use of grey space imaginable. These all seemed to be just costume party cubicles (for the most part).

There's a new Capitol One card where they've been touting that you can upload your own image. I can't speak to their rates or anything (which, of course, would be part of the point), but if you find the right card with them, then a pic of your dream house, or something saying "Total Amount Due: $0" — or whatever might

I know it's apple (so some may balk), but the Airport Express delivers internet access, USB printer connectivity AND wireless music control all for $99. Er. and it's not bulky at all, it's just about the same size as the brick/plug for the ipod (a little larger).

@ DA5ID_NZ: I believe that purported reason for mucking about with the daylight saving time was some estimation of (m/b)illions of dollars in savings in energy costs, and thereby saving the environment.

"I'm with geeky."

Does anyone know of anything good upon which one might perch their laptop? Something not too cumbersome, and that might actually work well in the lap?

So, RSS feeds help with tracking your searches, but I haven't figured out how to search Craigslist as effectively as I would like. In particular, I can't drop in multiple possibilities. For instance, if I'm looking for a new pickup and I enter "Tundra OR Frontier", it comes up with nothing... so I have to search for

We are using rsync to sync files across two Win2003 servers, and it takes for-ehhh-ver. Granted, the "live site" side of the equation doesn't run the rsync server, so it's a one way mechanism, but it's just too slow to be set up correctly. I can literally,

I'm not sure if it's more sad that I thought of making a similar little app years ago but have never gotten around to building it, or that I should have just thought of the spreadsheet alternative back then when i was dreaming up the specs for this thing. Duh!

@Quine: A good way to "maximize" your windows (firefox, or whatever) is done by recording a simple AppleScript (yep, record... you probably won't even have to code). I had an AppleScript that would layout my windows in a 4 sectioned grid, another for full-sizing, cascading, ad infinitum. The new-ish Automater is

@ Nemo Fairbrother - "Does lifehacker really need to put questions like this up, it's not the most useful thing when anyone of us can google..." Of course! It's one of their strong points! Google can give you ever bread slicer under the sun, with only good SEO distinguishing one from the other, but the fine "intrepid

@Falconfire: I would be really interested in seeing those reports you mention. Do you have a link or two for us?

@JaDe: Thanks for the list. Unfortunately, the only way to make use out of the smtp servers is with a paid yahoo account, I'm afraid. That is, unless you're able to do something I'm just not seeing.

Nice! Ever since your post on making Gmail your universal account, I've been looking for a way to get all of my and my wife's email accounts down to just two centralized accounts. This will possibly help wean her off of that wretched hotmail account. Now does anyone know any way to get Yahoo mail to forward (besides

@Adam: Hmmm... perhaps a round plastic lid from an old tupperware set, held nice and snug around the second drain? Haven't tried it... I certainly see the dilemma, though.

Speaking of plumbing, an easy way to clear a clog is to use the handy ol' plunger. I recently tried two or three chemical products to no avail, and in frustration hit up the bathroom sink with a plunger, and presto! I doubt my house has seen cleaner pipes since 86-some-odd years ago when it was first built.
