Yeah, I keep meaning to get more into the rest of his material; the only other book of this that I’ve read was The Force, which I liked well enough, if not quite as much as the Border books. Agreed on the amount of info in his books, though - I know they’re fiction, but I really do feel like I’m learning things

Gus gotta eat!

Final chapter in Don Winslow’s border trilogy is out this month, and that’s all I have eyes for this month.  First two books are excellent; no reason to think this final one won’t also be.

Barnumite/Duluthian/now-Coloradan. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Cloquet’s name anywhere ever on the internet. So - +1. My poem:

Watching this makes me wish I had some novocaine for the soul.

On the other hand - the fishbowl is there!  I worried they might think it was too goofy and forego it altogether.  I need to put some more faith in the MCU; I still have this weird “X-Men, but only sort of because leather suits are realistic” thing in my head.

D’oh! That sucks. I’ve really been happy with the few Library Editions I’ve picked up (all of Kabuki, the couple of volumes of The Massive - I think that’s it). They’re almost like DC’s Absolute Editions, but at a fraction of the cost.  I suppose other than those, you’d be looking at just normal TPBs (unless

The wait has been real, my friend.  Not that it’s been THAT long.  I’m a Venture Bros. fan, so I’ve learned patience.

Dark Horse publishes large hardcover collections of a lot of their stuff in what they call “Library Editions.”  They’re surprisingly inexpensive relative to the volume of material contained, and I’m fairly sure they were collecting their Buffy stuff in that format.

The main thing I’m hoping for comics-wise in 2019 is the publication of the second volume of My Favorite Thing is Monsters.  First volume was my favorite graphic novel of the last several years, so I’m hoping she’s able to close it out well,  and hoping we don’t have to wait for too long for it to happen.

We’re just hoping whoever was running the chyron last night got a raise or at least a copy of The Good Place on Blu-ray.

... ahem ...

Hooray!  Hooray, I say!

Booooo!  Booooo, I say!

That’s ... odd. Whatever gets you through the day, I guess? It just seems unnecessarily crabby. “Oh yeah - you like Spider-Man? Well look at this one stupid thing that happened in that comic book 10 years ago!”

Dude you’re more than mildly obsessed with this plot line; you’ve posted it to basically every single Spider-Man related article I’ve come across in the last couple of months.  I hated this too; I dropped Spidey after this happened, and didn’t buy another issue until just a few months ago after Slott’s run wrapped up.

It’s not too late A.V. Club - there are still HOURS left to go in 2018 for you to get the Year In Band Names article published. I’m pulling for you; I know you can do it if you give it your best effort.

I’ve been borderline worried about Rucka this year. He’s normally fairly prolific, and also normally had a reasonable presence online, and he just kind of dropped off of the face of the earth in 2018 for the most part, both online and in terms of things being published. I started to worry if Trump’s America had

I may have fucked my life up flatter than hammered shit, but I sit here working a paying fucking gold claim, yawping for no human cocksucker.
