I figure that the MCU is essentially a mashup of the Ultimate universe and the 616 anyhow, so it doesn't bother me overly much. If anything, I'd rather have the obviously Ganke character just be called Ganke.

Very weird that that's not Ganke. High school aged Spider-Man's best friend who's Asian who knows that he's Spider-Man. That's … That's Ganke.
Triangle-Face loves Particle-Face. They have a fight. Triangle wins. Triangle-Face.
Headlopper is friggin' great. At NYCC 2015, which happened just after the first issue from Image was published, I got to talk to MacLean a bit. Really nice guy. I got a rad sketch of one of the weird axe-handed stone giants with nipple rings guys that showed up in the second issue. I think it's my favorite new…
I think Charlie Brown bread would have to be my all time favorite food. I could eat it for every meal. Or just constantly, without stopping.
*Adopts Bob Odenkirk voice*
God DAMN it!!
I just watched it last week, and you're right. Most impressed I've been with Depp in a long time.
Me too. I'm not the biggest X-Men fan, but credit where credit is due, and Jackman has owned that role. Add to that the fact that it will be 17 years (!) since the first movie when this comes out, and seeing him play this part for the last time really does have some impact for me.
That's a part of it for me, but mostly I just don't enjoy arena shows. It sounds cheesy, but the physical remove really does diminish the experience for me.
That is equally good. Who the hell thought THAT was a good idea as an opener?
So you're saying that they whipped their hair back and forth decades before the Fresh Princess made it yuuuge.
I mean I do feel sort of shameful in my joy about it, but - that's why the Germans invented the word, I guess.
This is going back quite a ways, but it's one of my favorite concert related stories: My best friend from high school did a few years in Army after graduation. This would have been in probably '98 or so, but one weekend when Army had half-a-day, he went to the Warped tour in whatever Texas city is closest to Fort…
I have zero desire to go see these guys play in a stadium setting, but if they were playing a medium sized club, I'd go in a heartbeat.
Everyone knows that in "The Silence of the Lambs", Clarice Starling was morally opposed to cannibalism. What my new novel pre-supposes is … Maybe she isn't?
Oldman as Verger is just great in that movie.
I'm sure it marks me out as a terrible person, but the scene where Goodfellas is eating his own brain never fails to make me laugh.
You may be correct; it's been a long while since I read the book, but I can only remember one significant "nasty" thing (damned damned eels) that got left out.
And honestly the VAST majority of the crazy shit from the book made it to screen. I also like it as a sort of severely twisted up romance. I would actually call it relatively under-rated in Ridley Scott's filmography.
HOT TAKE: I … kind of like "Hannibal." It's so far over the top it can't see the top when it looks down, but I think it was intentional, and I sort of admire how bat shit crazy it is.
