There’s really no point in asking for a manual or RWD. Manuals are dead, and RWD doesn’t have the capability to put the power down effectively. From a performance standpoint, manuals are now worse. They’re slower, and in some cars, less efficient.

To be perfectly honest, you wouldn’t want a manual trans in this car. That became painfully obvious with the last generation M5, the cars just aren’t designed for the manual box anymore and have too much power and torque for it to be an enjoyable experience driving one.

In that case BMW doesn’t give a single shit about you. Nor should they.

I hear you but I think the days of manual transmissions really are gone. But what I really could do without are the multiple driving/suspension modes. My e39 540 has one mode - spectacular. The new models all have multiple modes and none of them are good. This to me is the core of BMWs lost direction.

you sir, need to do more research than just assume everything is okay just because japan has anime, cars and electronics.
