Exactly. And now Quick Play will be full of people ‘training’ for Competitive and you are going to get the same problems there that were the reason you might have been afraid of playing Competitive in the first place.

Smeh. Just practice competitive in competive. It’s not like it actually matters.

Yeah, that’s pretty on point.

I’m pretty impressed by how that progressively got funnier and funnier... Everyone changing to Hanzo made me burst out loud in laughter at work.

So few good ones. T_T

Damn, that last one was great, now I’m listening to A-ha because of it.

Shout out to the 10 people who appreciate the Double XP reference.

Downgrade? Are we looking at the same thing? I’d say it’s an improvement. I think her face looks a bit squashed in the newer version though :/

*shrug*, doesn’t really bother me. If it’s that frustrating you can leave (when the match is over). On the other hand, doing things like beating back a team of six genjis and winning (and then watching them all quit!) just feels so damn good

No, quickplay is for folks who don’t want to play competitive.
Maybe you go there to troll, but some folks stay there because they don’t want the stress of playing for competitive points.

I was mainly complaining about hero stacking in general. Sorry that wasn’t more clear.

Yeah, and it’d be one thing if they just wanted to leave an aura of mystery (which is totally cool) but this is a feature that they’ve directly promised on several occasions. It’s totally understandable if they had to remove it for one reason or another — game development is a fluid, iterative process! — but people

Yep, mid competitive match that *would* have been a win.... DC. Thanks!

Servers are also shitting the bed harder than ever, so maybe hold off on it till they’re fixed.

Overwatch is also unable to connect.

On console the toxicity is real. I play on PS4, which is a fairly quiet online experience in general, which makes the moments of toxicity all the more jarring when they do occur.

Toxicity is *especially* damaging in Overwatch because of the emphasis on team play. It can lead a team down a path of no return. As soon as that one person calls you a slut over the microphone, all possible semblence of cooperation is out of the window.

He’s not going to listen to what I say and I’m not going to want

People say mean things, people use character abilities to grief other players, people go AFK or quit a match while it’s in progress...

Yep. Thanks for validating my decision to never play Competitive Mode. Fuck that. Yeah, that is what I liked about getting into Overwatch at the ground floor. Everyone grew together, and everyone was mostly polite and just having fun. I can’t believe they introduced a mode completely counter to the playstyle of

People can get mad because the characters are meant to fit certain roles. So say your team is having trouble with something that Pharah would be good at, and instead of you handling it, someone else has to switch characters while you’re busy sniping away. So you’re seen as not necessarily pulling your weight.
