Where is the episode where the world gets converted to Kinja?

The ghosts are far less annoying than the couples on House Hunters.

I like to imagine Kathryn Bigelow is calling Patty Jenkins for drinks right now.

Email the tech support and reply to O’Neal.....overwhelming annoyance seemed to work.

Pretty sure the fact that this story has only 18 comments nearly 9 hours after it posted is a testament to listening to the concerns of your users instead of dismissing them and assuring them everything will be okay.

You could keep both since (I would think) the death of disqus and the commenting community will impact the AV Club’s readership.

Pete’s comedic timing has certainly improved now that he’s fully conscious. And Moffat’s McGregor was actually pretty entertaining:”You know what you could buy for $75 million dollars in Ireland? Ireland.”

How about hating change, when its disastrous and destroys a community you loved? Is change a wonderful thing when say, your dad dies? I appreciate the efforts made to coax us all into this new Kinja.Gawker reality. Telling us to be patient and hush and won’t be so bad. Not the fault of the valiant AV staff. Just,

Rocky?

“dumping gaffes and horrific statements and actions pretty much indiscriminately”

I hadn’t been to AV Club since before the change and wow it looks so bland and ugly as fuck now. It basically looks like another gizmodo/gawker site, especially the TV Club portion which I loved. The fuck? It’s horrible. The site is going to die a slow death like io9 did.

I think the consensus is that he got them from Hardhome Depot

All of the obsessed questions about chains is absurd to me.

I’m willing to accept that a giant army of the dead has tools. I don’t need to see every single tool get an origin story. People obsessing over the chains have become to pedantic for their own good.

They’ll believe him, citizen.

As an A.V. Club commenter and former-io9 commenter pre-Kinja, the move sucks because: no nested comments, you can’t sort comments by date or most like/starred and you have to refresh the page to see new comments. Although these can seem like minor annoyances, it really adds up.

OK. Here’s my next request:

If IIRC, the search function on the old AVClub was garbage and everyone just used google.

If “giving a fuck about users” is a resource, and you had any of it, then there’s no way Univision could hope to compete with you.

I understand that you cannot go back to the way it was, but my suggestion to improve Kinja is to change Kinja as a whole so that it functions like the old site exactly.

The AV Club had a community where the articles were often considered secondary to the comments. Kinja becomes functionally impossible to have a long conversation on because the lack of nested comments and the weird comment system mean that it becomes impossible pretty quickly to figure out what comment is responding
