Plenty of people DO vote for the Prime Minister, though. They pay no attention to their local rep. But I agree that people should know that things are done differently here.

I don’t think she’s saying “we have it worse than those women before me”, though, I think she’s saying “younger women than me should have it better since things should be moving forward, but instead they have it as bad as or worse than I had it when I was young”. Which is totally valid, because she lived through that.
