I really am finding it hard to stick to the show. I really can't stand Michael as a romantic lead, I find it hard to keep watching Jane and him together. It is starting to ruin my enjoyment of the show which sucks because the first season was one of my all time favourites!

Does the reviewer actually hate the show? Because this episode and show in general are consistently fantastic. Ester died by Alaric I think when he was changed into the vampire hunter a season or so ago and Klaus killed Mikael with the special white oak stake and he burst into flames. I don't remember the specifics of their deaths but the were both very briefly on VD and are dead
