I’m being pedantic, obviously, but I think I’m safe in assuming that they didn’t film in or around the house, and that it basically functions like stock footage. That’s definitely the case for the Full House house. And the Cheers bar.

Man, it’s a sad day to see the AV Club in the pocket of Big Soda, so soon after selling out to Big Bacon.

Is there any special quality to “lemon lime soda” as opposed to other sodas? Would club soda work?

Addendum: I re-downloaded the app, and it looks to me like it’s just clips of selected segments (as on fusion’s website), rather than full episodes. There aren’t enough clips to make me think it comes close to covering the full episodes.

If you could travel back in time and ask for tips, here’s how it would turn out:

I downloaded that app earlier today to give it a shot. It looked to me like it locked content except for people who had a U.S. cable/satellite account to login with. Do the episodes unlock after a few weeks?

Now that you mention it, my experience is similar. Except those people have crippling technical issues that never get fixed. Cause, or effect?

If you’re an on-camera personality, you shit talk the behind-the-scenes people at your own peril. That’s like trashing your IT department. It doesn’t end well. Surprise, surprise, the video got leaked.

Would that I could, John. You see, I’m Canadian. I’ve scavenged the far reaches of Google. I’ve pleaded for the wisdom of the crowd (in the pre-Kinja days when there was a crowd). The consensus is that I’m screwed. All I get is the occasional clip on the fusion website.

It has it’s problems, but I enjoyed watching T3 significantly more than I enjoyed watching Genysis. It’s a better Arnold action movie, with the quips and dramatic kills. Genysis is a Jai Courtney action movie co-starring a miscast Emelia Clarke.

Uhh, that’s not a Funny or Die video. It is a College humor video. I don’t think those are the same.

Shame on me. I’ve been fooled by another GJI headline that grossly oversold the linked article. Fool me, don’t fool me ‘gain.

I think season 3 earns its “got good” reputation. You say the last episode of the season was the best of the series, but what I would consider the best single episode of the series actually comes earlier in that same season, with Yesterday’s Enterprise (the borg episodes were very good, but mostly memorable as a

The Borg are introduced in Season 2 of TNG (in Q Who).

I have the opposite feeling on speeches vs. the scripted bits, in general (I’m not riveted by hearing celebrities thank their parents, spouses, agents, producers, cast members, etc...), but Brown was a uniquely compelling speaker.

If they were going to be strict from start to finish that “this is how much time you

The mistake was letting Nicole Kidman drone on, and on, and on, like she’d gotten a lifetime achievement award. That’s what put pressure on the broadcast to tighten things, and also made for an unpleasant contrast in how they treated the white woman versus the black man.

I disagree with that as a generalization. Episodic shows almost always improve in their second and third seasons as they find their characters and refine their formula [I say “episodic”, because there are a lot of seraliazed shows that start out with a creative bang, and have a huge sophomore slump as they try to

This is exactly where I’m at with this show. It increasingly feels like an unlicensed TNG spin-off, but there’s a large TNG shaped hole in my life, and I’m happy to watch even a passable imitation of it. The characters really aren’t grabbing me yet, but there are hints of potential. And I could watch Adrianne

So the phone demands that you “OPEN YOUR EYES”, as an unlock condition. Is this a viral marketing campaign for the new season of Mr. Robot?

I’m sure as shit not going to die on the hill of defending Martin Shkreli, but I’m a believer in a justice system that’s designed to protect society, rather than inflict revenge. You need to lock up violent offenders to keep society safe from them. With someone like Shkreli who can’t be trusted with power or money,

That’s a stupid strawman. Shkreli’s been convicted of fraud for stealing money. Not causing anyone’s deaths.

He deserves all the shit in the world for jacking up drug prices, but it wasn’t criminal. We don’t live in a society where you imprison people for things you think should be a crime but aren’t.
