you can still be a contractor and paid by blizzard. USUALLY contractors have a 3rd party firm for payment, but it isn;t always the case. Also, fuck contracting, they should be entitled to the same benefits as normal employees and be able to join unions

a mass email sent several months earlier instead of when they decided finalize (heck even just floating the possibility of such) would’ve been trivial for blizzard to do and saved so many people time or at least given them transition time. When you’re a pro gamer, every hour counts

60 is NOT a low price point. These AAA companies make healthy profit margins while underpaying their employees (crunch for example) and often engage in tax evasion. You don’t need to worry about them, the ‘poor multinational” can stick up for itself
