Internet congregation is always going to be a minority. I was on those boards and Reddits. The communities were at its largest less than 10% of the total US viewership on a worldwide site. And that’s not active membership, that’s just people who clicked one to follow but didn’t participate.

I think internet commenters wildly overestimate how many people dislike the final seasons due to the internet bubble.
