Also, out of all the characters, Donkey Kong has had the least consistent “voice” in the games. He’s the one who should be the most open to vocal interpretation.

Right, he wasn’t being a diva or anything. Clearly, the people making the film said “ok, we want Donkey Kong to sound like Seth Rogan” and moved forward. If they had said “we want someone to do a voice” then I don’t think Rogan would have begrudged them for going with someone else.

Lets be clear about it, this is one of those “feature, not a bug” situations.

KiraTV just dropped a pretty good breakdown of the publisher of this game and a bunch of other similar titles, and their ongoing policy of wringing every bit of money possible out of the games they own and dropping anything that won’t meet their bottom line. Then again, we knew Ark was a scam when it dropped paid DLC

I don’t think he was ‘making demands’. He said ‘This is how I do my voice. If this is good for you, then cool.’ Blame the producers, if anyone. Seth was just upfront about how is performance would be and they still hired him despite that warning.

It’s always The Caveman’s Valentine this, The Caveman’s Valentine that! Where is the love for his lewks from The 51st State aka Formula 51???

(glances at every other show they’ve done so far apart from Falcon/Winter Soldier)

So are you saying they should give Nick Fury powers or...? Not centre a show around him?

Winter Soldier also helped kick start Agents of Shield being really good.

Samuel L. Jackson is bringing his classic look from The Caveman’s Valentine back, baby!

“This war is one I have to fight. Alone. For budgetary reasons”.

I like how they're showing how individuals of a race can be quite different instead of all being generically the same with the same beliefs. Skrulls, they're just like people!

Kind of an awesome weekend for religious movie-goers. Christians got to see His Only Son and Jesus Revolution and Satanists got Dungeons & Dragons.

So to tie all of this together: Marvel could recast Jonathan Majors, and according to Perlmutter no one would notice?

I think the big problem is that people aren’t willing to wait for the buildup anymore. Phase 4 is basically Phase 1 again, where the MCU establishes the new generation of heroes and a lot of the complaints I’ve seen are about the lack of an overall story despite the presence of multiple long-term storylines and the

A reboot is where you go from there.

I don’t see these things hurting Marvel and Disney too much, tbh. After all, we are kinda entering the “Simpsons Season 10+” phase of the MCU, where a lot of its cultural dominion is starting to fade, the cracks are starting to show, and passion from the fanbase will start to decline.

If people think the MCU was hard to keep track of before, just wait until “maybe everyone you know is a shape-shifting alien” story kicks in.

Yes this woman is horrible, but Jesus H. Christ, give it up on Griner. She was NOT wrongfully imprisoned, nor were the drug charges bogus. The SENTENCING may have been extreme because of who she was, and the Russian drug laws may be ridiculous in themselves, but Griner did break the law she was imprisoned for
