Illegal?  Lol.  Yes because Valve is the Federal Government.

That’s not a) how laws work b) how platforms work or c) the general consensus.

There can be legal ramifications for breaking a contract but it’s a civil matter not a criminal one. And in any case whatever contract developers enter into with Valve to distribute their games on Valve’s platform is almost certainly largely in favour of Valve and almost certainly has clauses that enable them to end

PSA: if you hate trans people you can just go live your life and be a shithead, you don’t actually have to publicly implode over something that doesn’t affect you at all

Look, the way I see it is that if you mend your ways, and you come around, you’re a better person than you were. That said;

They all feed off the same sources of their hate. They love talking about how everyone but them are NPCs when they always parrot the same lines.

Oh you sweet summer child.....

the short answer is: It doesn’t

These people must either have nothing better to do, or had what they consider a traumatic experience. Like he hit on a woman and freaked out when he found out she was trans.

Thinking back... I used to be a bit transphobic with some things I said (to myself, thankfully)..

Trans people make up such a tiny percentage of the population. Honestly, what are you people afraid of? What drives you to so publicly rant about this stuff? How does someone being trans even affect you?

It's actually about free speech. Valve a private entity used their freedom of speech and freedom of association to chose what speech they will not spread and who they will not work with.

*spiteful laughter*

I don’t think Valve is “losing millions” on deplatforming anything unless it has hats, crates, keys or stickers.

Seems like it’d be exhausting to be so focused on something that doesn’t really affect you in any way. So focused that - for some reason - you literally can’t shut your mouth long enough to think about whether floating your crazy out there will have consequences.

Personally if I had to choose between a loudmouth neo-nazi or a more insidious one who knows how to fly under the radar I’d go with the former, it’s much better for everyone involved when the trash takes itself out.

For anyone wondering about how much revenue he brought steam.

There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding about how popular Valve/Steam is (very) and how popular Domina was (not very). Like I’m sure it was mildly/pretty successful, but delisting 1 game because the dev won’t stop habitually line stepping is unlikely to affect Steam’s bottom line very much. If anything,

Sell your game, but keep your personal opinions to yourself. Don’t be political. How to ruin your career.

Why are all these transphobic dickhead weirdos all the same KIND of transphobic dickhead weirdo? They never seem to log off.
